Raising of the awareness of moths and moth conservation issues among the Branch membership and promote the appreciation of moths to the general public. Provide guidance for Branch responses to enquiries from BC members, other conservation bodies and the general public on moth conservation issues.

Co-ordinates the implementation of BC’s Conservation Strategy through Branch activities.  Act as the first point of contact for the branch on matters of conservation policy and advise the Branch at all levels on BC conservation matters, in particular acting as the main contact for the Regional Action Plan (RAP).

Press Officer

Position vacant

Co-ordinates all aspects of publicity for the Branch, liaising closely with BC’s Publicity Team. This may include issuing Press releases in conjunction with BC’s Publicity Officer and taking part in local media broadcasts. This role may appeal to Media Studies students who would get some early 'hands-on' practice at handling the media or to someone who already has some experience in this field.

Youth officer

Position vacant

Raises awareness of lepidoptera with the young people and to encourage them to become active in conservation matters coordinated by BC and to become members. Again a student would be well suited to this position, or perhaps someone who is a teacher in some capacity.
